“The flower of life” is a large, original colored pencil drawing on paper featuring two identical female figures, hummingbirds, owl and the sacred geometry symbol-the flower of life. It’s the depiction of duality and complexity of life. It features one of the scared geometry symbols- the flower of life- the symbol of creation.

As always my concept revolves around the figure. No doubt I love to draw beautiful women but beauty for me is a lot more than a pretty face. I’m attracted to inner strength of a person that I choose to depict. I must find a connection with that person even if it’s very brief.

I also love to draw people from various cultural backgrounds. I think it adds up to the idea of unity I want to depict in my artwork. People divide themselves based on nationality and religion (hence, wars). My goal with my art is to do the opposite – to depict everything that unites us. I include the birds into this drawing to show our unity with the natural world as well. I like to incorporate geometric forms and symbols into my art because when we look close to natural forms like plants and flowers-they are made of perfect geometric shapes. It’s fascinating to me that we don’t see this geometry in our daily life, yet it’s all around us.

This drawing requires framing for wall display and can be shown at almost any space- home or office to stimulate your mind and senses.
