Pacha Mama, colored pencil drawing

$2,000.00

Pacha Mama means Mother Earth among the indigenous people of South America. White dots and lines on her face represent energy and vibration. Note: colors appear more saturated than they really are in the drawing.

Description

Pacha Mama means Mother Earth among the indigenous people of South America. She appeared as a crowned goddess to heal my pain during the ayahuasca visions. This realist colored pencil drawing carries a lot of spiritual meaning for me represented in symbolism crossing cultures and time. White dots and lines on her face represent energy and vibration.

“Pacha Mama” draws me because of its vibrant color palette, its emotional intensity, and its exquisitely detailed background. This powerful portrait is beautifully rendered, utilizing dry media to look like paint. The combination of fine realism and exciting geometric shapes expressed in a dazzling color scheme makes this an exceptionally strong and vivacious artwork.

Pacha Mama

Pacha Mama I’m coming home

To the place where I belong!

I want to be free, so free

Like the dolphin in the sea

Like the flowers and the bees

Like the birds in the trees

I want to fly high, so high

Like an eagle in the sky
And when my time has come

I’m gonna lay down and die
and when my time has come

I’m gonna rise up and fly.
Pacha Mama I’m coming home,

to the place where I belong.

Pacha Mama, I’m coming home,

to the place where I belong!

I want to be free, be me,

Be the being that I see
Not to rise and not to fall

Being one and loving all.
There is no high

There is no low

There is no place I should go

Just inside a little star

Telling me, be as you are.
Just inside a little star telling me – be as you are.
Pacha Mama I’m coming home

To the place where I belong
Pacha Mama, I’m coming home,

To the place where I belong!
