My Journey to Finding Purpose Through Art

After graduating from high school in Moscow, I found myself directionless. Moving to the U.S., I felt introverted and adrift, yearning for purpose. This longing led me to art, a path I pursued to fill an inner void. Despite earning a business administration degree, the idea of an office job crunching numbers felt stifling. My true calling lay elsewhere.

I enrolled in art classes at a local community college, eager to master realistic drawing. Thirty years ago, classical art education was scarce, so I pieced together my training by commuting to various art schools, each offering limited opportunities aligned with my goals. Through years of trial and error, I honed my craft.

In my early twenties, I turned to painting, focusing on portraits that told stories, allowing me to process my emotions. My work often explored themes of self-discovery and a sense of not belonging. I grappled with an internal search for validation and meaning, struggling to connect with anything that gave my life purpose. Despite numerous setbacks, disappointments, and moments that reshaped my view of reality, I persisted in my artistic journey.

I realized that connecting with our inner selves is essential for achieving profound peace and balance. Through my visionary art, I strive to foster a world filled with love, free from violence, judgment, or fear, guiding us toward unity with the divine.

My visionary art is a journey of self-discovery, blending emotions, thoughts, art history, and travel experiences into vibrant, figurative works on paper and canvas. My recent collection of visionary paintings reflects a meditation on life’s meaning, born from a deep need to express love, balance, joy, healing, and connection. I vowed to paint the world I envision—one free from pain, judgment, and fear. My mission is to inspire others to connect with their inner soul and light, fostering a heart-centered world.
