“Create” is about the discovery I had when I faced the indifference of people around me and didn’t know how I’d continue living in this constant struggle of trying to paint when no one needed it. I kept looking at other people in space, reading books and searching for answers. I saw a myriad of advice and suggestions that were all true to those people but their meaning of life didn’t quite resonate with me.

When I realized that my meaning of life was simply to create and nothing else, I felt the freedom to pick up my pencil again.

“Create” references one of the angels and the staircase found in Rome because Italian art carries a lot of spiritual meaning to me. I wanted to combine these classical references with the idea of descent into the freedom of creation.

If it requires framing, please allow for additional 4-week turnaround. Payment plans are available.
