1. What is a canvas print?

For paintings which original has sold you can order a canvas print. The canvas print is a high-quality replica of the original painting printed on real canvas and stretched (gallery-wrapped) over a wooden frame (see the image on this page). Canvas prints are very popular because they look and feel like the original painting. In fact most paintings that you see in doctor's offices and hotels are canvas prints! Canvas prints are so real that most people will not be able to tell them apart from a real painting.

Another reason for getting a canvas print is when the original is too large or too small for your space.

2. How do I purchase the artwork?

There are two ways you can purchase the piece/pieces you like. The instant method of payment is through my website. Once you’ve chosen the artwork, click on "BUY" button at the bottom of the page under the image and it will take you to a secure PayPal page where you can complete the transaction with major debit/credit cards accepted. This method insures instant sale and guarantees you being the first buying the piece.

If you prefer not to use your credit card, you can also send me a check or money order to the address shown below.

After the check gets cleared, I ship your artwork ASAP.

3. What is the shipping cost & what shipping methods do you use?

I ship via USPS & FedEx Ground. The shipping cost is calculated during the check out process, which is 8% off of the price of the artwork. For example, if the drawing costs $100, the shipping cost is just $8. If you have other preferences in shipping carriers, please let me know. I usually pack & ship within 2 business days after receiving payment in full.

Shipping charges are based on the packing materials and box needed to safely transport your art at standard shipping rates. I do not make money off of packaging and shipping. All artwork is fragile packed by me to insure that it arrives in perfect condition. In addition, all artwork is fully insured. If you have any questions about these charges, please contact me at +1 (814) 777-1802 or nika@veronicasart.com.

If the artwork arrives damaged, please contact me immediately, so I can process the claim.

4. Do you ship internationally?

Absolutely! Please contact me via e-mail to get a quote to your country. The most affordable shipping method is through USPS air mail that takes approximately 10 business days (2 weeks) to arrive to your home. Usually, the cost of mailing an oil painting to any country in Europe is about $80 USD.

5. May I return the artwork if it doesn’t meet my expectations?

Yes. I offer a seven-day money back guarantee on all artwork. In the event that your purchase does not meet your expectations, you may return it within seven days of receiving the order. I will issue you a full refund or credit on the price of the art less shipping. You must use the original packaging for return shipping. At this time, there are no returns on orders shipped outside of the United States.

6. Once I purchase my art, how many days does it take to arrive?

You should receive your package within 10 business days or even sooner.

7. What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express (via PayPal), personal check or money order.

8. Will I be charged tax?

You will only be charged tax if your order is shipped to Pennsylvania.

9. How do I return the artwork?

It is easy. When you receive your purchase, save the original packaging and simply repackage the art in its original box & bubble wrap and let me know nika@veronicasart.com that you are mailing it back to me. Artwork must be shipped via the same carrier within seven days of receiving the order. I cannot pay for the return shipping cost at this time. Art that is returned damaged will not be refunded. I issue a full refund for the price of artwork you’ve paid for.

10. Do you sell artwork framed or unframed?

The short answer is I sell unframed pieces.

However, a lot of my artwork is framed and hung on the walls in my home. I can always e-mail you a picture with the actual artwork being displayed on the wall. The selling price on my website does not include framing charges but it can be calculated at your request. Many customers prefer to do framing themselves, best fitting their own taste and needs. Yet, if you’d like to buy art that can be instantly displayed in your home or office, I can frame the piece either with a golden metal sectional frame or a wooden frame or accommodate any other preferences you might have.

Large drawings can be framed with Plexiglas, not glass to insure safe delivery.

11. Do you have a catalog of your artwork?

Yes. I’m happy to introduce my 100-page art catalog "Life in Colored Pencil" that incorporates a number of colored pencil drawings created for the past several years. Not every gallery sells a catalog due to high printing costs but here you have an opportunity to own a beautiful edition very inexpensively.

You can buy it online or send me a check/money order to receive your copy. If you’d like me to include a special message to be written in the book, just let me know! I can also gift wrap it for your friend or relative.

12. What if the artwork I like is sold? May I request you to paint a similar piece?

Definitely! Contact me with any requests you might have in regards to size and medium and let me know what you like about this particular piece that has been sold. So, I can incorporate your wishes to my best ability. You will not receive a duplicate of the original sold, rather a new work with similar colors and subject matter. Please notice, I take a 50% deposit off the price of artwork being commissioned by you.

13. May I speak with the artist?

Absolutely! Please feel free to call +1 (814) 777-1802 or e-mail me nika@veronicasart.com at your convenience Monday-Sunday from 9am-10pm. I’m always happy to hear from you.

14. May I print artwork displayed on the site?

You can print it out for your files. However, all images are copyrighted by law and cannot be reproduced in the form of giclee prints, posters, cards or other printable forms without my written permission.

15. Is the artwork shown on the website a financial investment?

I’d like to encourage art collectors to purchase artwork for personal enjoyment. Collect what you like. Yet, with time art can be a financial investment as the demand for my art grows.

16. Do you sell posters?

Yes, I do. For those who are not quite ready to invest into art right now there is a nice option of having unique artwork in their homes. I sell unsigned, open edition, archival quality, acid-free, glossy prints of various sizes. You can buy a print online by clicking on a bar under the image. Current price range for unframed paper posters is as follows:

10x Post Cards $15 • 8"x10" poster $12 • 11"x14" poster $17 • 16"x20" poster $35 • 20"x24" poster $40 • 20"x30"poster $45 • 24"x36" poster $55

17. Do you accept commissions?

Absolutely! Please feel free to call +1 (814) 777-1802 or e-mail me nika@veronicasart.com at your convenience Monday-Sunday from 9am-10pm. I’m always happy to hear from you.

I need to hear your ideas about the piece, medium, size and time-frame you wish me to complete the artwork. If it’s a portrait commission I need to have high-resolution images to paint from that could be mailed or e-mailed to me. Once, we agree on the subject matter, medium, size and price I take a 50% deposit off the price of artwork being commissioned by you. This is the contract for me to complete the work on time and for you to receive it. A one-page contract can be written and signed by both parties.

18. What is the difference between "oil on canvas," "oil on canvas board" and "oil on canvas paper"?

Oil on canvas is a traditionally-looking painting where canvas is stretched on four wooden stretcher bars. Many of my paintings are hand-stretched and hand-primed with double layer of gesso to insure the highest quality of painting support. These are a bit heavier gallery-wrap canvases (where sides are painted with staples being on the back). I also buy my canvases, some are gallery-wrap canvases and others have staples on the sides (these are lighter ones). Feel free to ask me about canvas support for any painting displayed on the site.

Oil on canvas board is a durable painting surface with canvas glued to the board. It looks like canvas paper yet, with ¼" thickness. It’s very easy to transport and frame pieces painted on canvas board. I don’t make them, preferring buying those to insure best results.

Oil on canvas paper is a painting surface that looks like a heavy piece of drawing paper but with texture of canvas. In other words, it is primed canvas that is not stretched. It can be rolled up in a tube to transport or carry it around. It can also be framed effortlessly with a standard frame and backing. I buy artist-quality Fredrix canvas pads.

Most of my paintings are of standard size, which makes it very easy and inexpensive to frame.

19. What art materials do you use to produce your art?

For my colored pencil drawings I use expensive, professional grade, soft "Prismacolor Premier" colored pencils along with the mineral spirits or turpanoid. I draw on heavy professional grade drawing paper.

For my oil paintings I use various canvas support described above. I buy "Winsor & Newton" oil paints, mediums & brushes. I also use high-quality pigment-rich Russian oil paints.

I finish up with fixatives for both drawings and paintings to protect artwork from grease and harmful UV sunlight.
